Participation in scientific research and international conference

Associate Professor of the Morphology Department Hryntsova N.B., PhD while on a business trip to the Institute of Neuroimmunology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Bratislava, Slovakia) as part of a scientific study funded by the apparatus of the Slovak government, took part in the work of the international conference “ADVANCES IN EXPERIMENTAL NEUROIMMUNOLOGY 2023”. The conference was held from June 18 to 20, 2023 in a picturesque corner of Slovakia, the town of Smolyanice, on the basis of an ancient castle, which is the official residence of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.

Hryntsova N.B. delivered an oral report “Heavy metals and neurodegenerative diseases: the response of the rat’s pineal gland astrocytic glia under conditions of long-term influence of heavy metal salt’s mixture and different periods of adaptation” within the grant project “Shorter- and longer-term mechanisms of multimodal interventions to prevent dementia (JPND Multi-MeMo)”, in which she presented the results of her own research to foreign colleagues. Scientific work of Hryntsova N.B. on the influence of heavy metal salts on the pineal gland of rats organically fit into the general background of the conference, which was devoted to the study of neurodegenerative diseases of the body.

So, despite today’s difficult conditions and limited opportunities, participation in such events is a necessary component of creating new scientific contacts and obtaining further grant projects.
